Christmas and Birthday Ideas for Jeremy

Thanks to all those people who have contacted us about sending gifts to Jeremy at Full Sutton Prison this Christmas, and for his 54th Birthday on the 13th of January.

There are currently restrictions on material that prisoners there can receive under regulations so Please read all of the guidelines below. Every year many people kindly send gifts to Jeremy, many of which he is not allowed to receive.

Jeremy will not be able to receive clothing, bedding, CD’s, pens, pencils, packs of cards, folders or ring-binders, spiral bound paper, plastic wallets, dividers, organic material, books, magazines or toiletries and the prison do not make exceptions.

For Jeremy's correspondence address, or if you are looking just to send a card or letter please check out this page. If you write to Jeremy please enclose a stamped addressed envelope.

Material gifts that Jeremy would gratefully receive are as follows:

Stamps: both small and large first or second class. You can send in strips, or books, as many as you wish but you must put your name and address in with them.

Packs of cards
For example, packs of notecards or thank you cards. You must take the cards from their original wrapping, and put them into an envelope with your name and address. You cannot send more than 12 in one batch, but you can send multiple batches if you wish.

Special Occasion Paper and Envelopes

For example Jeremy sometimes uses the material on the following links below, but any variety would be welcome.

Standard Envelopes

: In three sizes Jeremy sends out a lot of heavy paper documents and if they get wet in the post thinner envelopes split open and the documents can be lost.

   Preferably good quality envelopes of any brand:
   DL White Peel & Seal Envelopes (Tesco envelopes almost always split open).
   C5 (A5) White or brown Peel and Seal;
   C4 (A4) White or Brown Peel & Seal Envelopes;
   A4 'Gusset' envelopes are permitted and Jeremy finds them helpful for sending large bulky paper documents.

Please do not send Jiffy/bubble padded envelopes as gifts as these are not permitted but you can use them to send your gift in to the prison with your name and address on the back.

A4 Refill Pads: Good quality of any brand but simple tear off ruled pads with hole punches in the side which is handy for filing, spiral bound paper is not permitted. We all know how Jeremy likes to write letters and he gets through paper like it’s going out of fashion.

We know the material that Jeremy can receive is very limited but you can keep in touch with cards, drawings, paintings, letters and photographs. You can send in news articles,print out's from the internet, photocopies of extracts from books, magazines (whole publications are not permitted).

Get creative with personalized greeting cards or paper. Prisoners at Full Sutton are now allowed self images sent in to them but they are no longer able to have photographs taken and sent out under MOJ guidelines.

Posting: WE CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH that all letters and gifts must arrive with your name and address inside or Jeremy will not be able to receive them and there are no exceptions.

Larger packets containing envelopes/pads must have the senders name and address on the back of the envelope

If you wish to write an anonymous well wisher note to Jeremy you can do so via our network and we will send it on to him.

If you have a gift idea and you’re not sure if Jeremy will be able to receive it please check with him directly or contact us before sending it.

Thanks for all of your support. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us at the Campaign Administration.
